The Importance Of Early Promotions Revealed

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday over for another year, it’s time for retailers to take stock and see whether they took full advantage of one the busiest shopping days in the yearly calendar.

New research from Retail Me Not has just revealed that in the US 70 per cent of the major retailers offering promotions via its website started promoting their Black Friday deals before Thanksgiving, running them on average for ten days.

Chief marketing officer for the company Marissa Tarleton noted that the data shows the majority of consumers actually start their holiday shopping well before Black Friday, so it would seem that sorting out your marketing material well in advance would be a good move.

“There is a new Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday retail strategy: it’s powered by promotions, it’s omnichannel and promotions are on the market longer. The general trend we saw from retail marketers was early, omnichannel promotions that lasted through Cyber Monday,” Ms Tarleton said.

When it comes to A4 brochure printing, it seems it’s never too early to start if you want to bring customers through your doors and not the competition’s. People are more than willing to spend their money at this time of year so targeting them early and letting them know what you’ve got on your shop shelves does seem to be a good idea.
